Casino Belize - Captain Morgan's Retreat

Ambergris, largest island in Belize has one town, San Pedro, and it is here you can find Casino Belize. Belize is a great destination, especially if you’re keen on water activities. There’s good diving, snorkelling and fishing to be found here. Spend time exploring the coral reefs, which run the length of the island. There’s other activities to be found too such as hiking and visiting the various attractions. Explore Mayan ruins and temples, try zip-lining, trek through the rainforests and go cave exploring. Captain Morgan’s offers its guests casitas, villas and condos and facilities on site include three swimming pools, a spa, a bar, and a restaurant. Guests can also enjoy their 1100 foot private beach, so most of the water activities you’d like to enjoy can be found right at the resort.

Dining

Dine in the Buena Vista Restaurant or enjoy buffets poolside. BBQs are also run out by the pool, where grilled meats and burgers are served, as well as vegetarian options. Various live entertainment like jazz serves as musical accompaniment to your meals. If you plan on heading into town, you can look for your own new favourite restaurants or you can ask casino and hotel staff for suggestions on venues that are popular with both tourists and locals.

Entertainment/NightLife

The resort runs various live entertainment acts. Look for such events as Dining and Live Jazz by the Sea, Belizean Cultural Night and Friday Night Live. You can enjoy drinks poolside, in the restaurant, the bar, or in the casino. Fill your days participating in any number of water activities on or off the resort, like snorkelling, parasailing and fishing. There’s many spots along the coral reef and out in deep water to try some scuba diving. Some areas include The Great Blue Hole, Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley and Lighthouse Reef. Make your own arrangements or ask resort staff about tours. Other general activities include hiking, trekking through the forests, and zip-lining. Things to check out include waterfalls, Mayan ruins and various caves. When you want to check out some of the indigenous flora and fauna, head over to the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. When you really just feel like relaxing, there's three swimming pools and a private beach.
