Enjoy drinks poolside at the bar in the hotel or in any one of the restaurants or even the nearby Yacht Club. For history and culture, head over to the National Museum and Art Gallery also with the National Botanical Gardens or visit the Koloberg ruins. There’s ample opportunity to check out the indigenous flora and fauna here. The Gaborone Game Reserve has animals such as ostriches, zebras, wildebeest and impala. The Mokolodi Nature Reserve is also good for rhinos, hippos, giraffes and warthogs. For local attractions, visit the Gaborone Dam. For shopping try one of the local malls or markets or visit Mochudi for crafts and jewellery. When you feel like hiking and taking in the view, there’s Kgale Hill. If you happen to be traveling in March, look for the Maitisong Festival with its concerts and various outdoor activities. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy nearby golf or head to the Botswana National Stadium.
