Casino Port Crouesty

Port Couesty is located on the Peninsula Rhuys in the Gulf of Morbihan in southern Brittany, France, on the territory of the commune of Arzon. Visit Beach Port Lenn, an authentic fishing village of Port Navalo. You can swim between the moorings or watch the old fisherman as they bring in today’s catch. Every November, hundreds of sailboats enter Port Crouesty as they barter wares. During the summer months, head to Krever Beach, with its nearby dunes and woods. Take leisurely strolls along winding roads and alleys, taking in old homes from the 18th and 19th century. Check out local lighthouses, the first established in 1840 and the second in 1892.

Dine in the casino restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, Thursday through Sunday from the hours of noon to 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm to 10 pm. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays provide formulaic buffets coming in appetizer, appetizer buffet dish and full buffet. Menu items in the restaurant include foie gras, turbot steak and St Jacques skewers. Other venues include Creperie Witch, opposite the old port, Restaurant le Provencal, specializing in seafood, Restaurant Porticcio Paillote, with its Mediterranean cuisine and Corsican wines, and Restaurant L’Oasis Bretonne, serving Oriental specialties.

Attractions/NightLife

Find all your favourite drinks in the casino’s JOA Le Bar, opening evenings at 8 pm. Other bars throughout the area include Bar-Brasserie La Croisette, Miramar Crouesty, with its ocean-view, mocktails and piano music, The Buccaneer Restaurant, also serving food, and Marcellin Landrieul, a discotheque. Visit the Museum of Arts and Crafts, with its folk art, furniture and costumes, great for souvenirs to bring back home. Take the family to the Branfere Animal and Botanical Park. Check out the 13th century castle Suscinio, former residence of the Dukes of Brittany, and today (since the 15th century) a mansion. Cairn du Petit Mont Neolithique is a tomb found over at the end of the Rhuys Pensinsula. View the two lighthouses, various villas and village homes or swing by the marina and see the daily haul.
