Casino Greoux-les-Bains

Enjoy beautiful outdoor surroundings, ancient history, and plentiful shopping when visiting Greoux les Bains. Go back in time when visiting the Museum of Prehistory, located in Quinson, about 30 km out. Learn possibly more than you imagined about cheese in the Ecomusee in Banon (51 km out). Stroll through the expansive provincial market each Thursday morning, or the local farmers’ market Tuesdays. On Avenue des Thermes, there’s various flea markets. Or, of course, you can head to the casino, an old mansion now converted into an entertainment destination, with its restaurant, theatre and piano bar.

The casino provides a selection of classic and video slot machines coming in various denominations, table games, and is open year round. The casino first opened its doors in 2000 and is a converted mansion that also once served as a clinic. Look for belote (a French 32-card game) contests throughout the year. The casino has a restaurant, theatre and piano bar. Regardless of whether you play cards or slots, you’re sure to have fun, spending an afternoon or evening indoors gambling and enjoying cocktails.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site. About 1 km from the casino you can find the Hotel Spa Restaurant of Columns, providing 31 spacious rooms for their guests. Dine indoors or on the terrace as you’re served the best of southern French cuisine. Be sure to spend some time while here chatting to the hotel staff and finding out about all the major local attractions, and perhaps some lesser-known ones as well. Staff could also point out trendy bard and clubs in the area.

Dining

Choose The Alps, serving provincial specialties and regional cuisine. Look for wood-fired pizzas in The Sheep, also dishing up regional fare, and with activities for children like mini-golf and bowling. Dine indoors or or on the veranda. Reservations recommended. Find more traditional fare in Les Oliviers, also with quick eats during the summer. It’s haute-cuisine in The Cheneraie, where reservations are also suggested for the popular venue.

Attractions/NightLife

Come sundown, head out for a bit of night life in one of the local clubs like Rock Star or The Mystic. Enjoy line-dancing or take beginner’s classes in Salle de l’Etoile. Back in the casino, every Wednesday brings Tea Dances, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Spoil yourself in the spa when you need a little personal attention. Pick up supplies, produce or souvenirs in the local farmers’ market (Tuesday mornings), the flea markets and the Provincial market (Thursday mornings). Discover the history of making cheese in Ecomusee, or walk through history in the Museum of Prehistory. Visit the Natural Park of Verdon, with its winding streets, shady squares, caves and castle.
