Casino Neris les Bains

Neris-les-Bains is a French commune in the department of Allier and the region of Auvergne. There are a few things to do here is this quaint spa town. Outside of the thermal waters and spa treatments, be sure to visit some of the historical attractions and monuments. Begin with the Museum of Gallo-Roman Civilization, with its ancient artefacts consisting of sculptures and potteries. Sculpted by Raymonde Martin (1887-1977), the Memorial of the Great War consists of 2 marble reliefs titled Homage and Pain. If you prefer outdoor activities, there’s some great hiking to be found. Soak up some of the local landscape and check out the nearby streams and ponds dotted throughout the area. Spend a relaxing afternoon taking in 18 holes of golf in Golf de Sainte-Agathe. For something with a bit more excitement, head over to the casino for a session of cards and slots.

The casino offers a modest fleet of classic and video slot machines and video poker terminals, coming in various denominations and operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Specific hours are 9 am to 2 am Sunday to Thursday, and until 3 am Fridays and Saturdays. For table games there’s blackjack, open 8 pm to 2 am (3 am weekends) and English roulette, running the same hours. Electronic roulette starts at 4 pm going until 2/3 am.

Dine in Le Bistrot Chic, indoors or on the terrace. Menus vary with the seasons and use regional produce. In the hotel there’s the La Columelle, serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners, showcasing the best of French cuisine. For light bites, try Le Ti Punch, with its pizza and ice cream. La Comte offers dishes inspired by various European nationalities such as the French and Irish. For further options, ask hotel or casino staff to point out popular venues in and around town or choose your own based on menu and budget.

Attractions/NightLife

Enjoy your favourite cocktails in the casino. When sun falls and you want to dance the night away, head to Le Pirate-Montlucon. Walk about finding your own new favourite watering-hole where you can rub shoulders with the locals. Relax during days by taking in 18 holes of golf or going hiking. Unwind in some one of the local spas, soaking in thermal waters. Take afternoon strolls along some of the local streams and ponds. Head to the Museum of Gallo-Roman Civilization, recent as of 1995, with its potteries, glassware, bronzes and statues. The Memorial of the Great War boats two reliefs created by artist Raymonde Martin. Religious sites include the Church of St George, dating back to the 11th century and listed as a historic monument in 1923, and the Necropolis Merovington by the Church Square. About 7 km out, there’s the Municipal Theatre in Montlucon.
