Casino de Sete

Sete is a French commune in the department of Herault and the region of Languedoc-Roussillon. Locals are called simply Sete. The population, including the surrounding metro area, is just shy of 90,000 people. The area has seen several name changes from Montmorencette, to the shorter Cetia, De Ceta and Seta. Both a fishing port and tourist resort, the city is hugged by the Mediterranean and the Etang de Thau. Highlights of the area include the Lighthouse of Mont-Saint-Clair, the Notre Dame de la Salette chapel and the Moliere Theatre. Explore local culture and history by visiting the Regional Centre for Contemporary Art, the International Museum of Arts, the Paul Valery Museum and the Espace Georges Brassens. Other attractions include the Lighthouse of Mont-Saint-Clair, the Theatre of the Sea (Fort Saint-Pierre), Moliere Theatre, and the Saint-Louis Church, consecrated in 1703.
