Casino de Maurice

Located in Curepipe in the Plaines Wilhelms District you can find Casino de Maurice. Before an evening of slots and cards, trek through town taking advantage of the local attractions. Check out Trou aux Cerfs the volcanic crater, overlooking the west side of the island. For a less elevated stroll, walk through the Botanical Garden of Curepipe. There are 175 slot machines and video poker terminals and an additional 15 table games spread over one floor of gaming area. Slots come in video, classic and progressive and table games which include American roulette, blackjack and Oasis poker. The casino is open from Sunday to Thursday, 10 am to 2 am, and Fridays and Saturdays 2 to 4 am for slots. For table games, hours are Monday through Saturday 8 pm to 4 am and Sundays and holidays 2 pm until 4 am. The casino is divided into 2 sections, one for slots and one for table games, and there are 2 bars on site.

Enjoy drinks at the hotel or casino or hit up one of the bars or nightclubs in town. Local venues include Illusion disco and Zindix Nite Club, open late nights. Note that while formal attire is not necessary, you may be turned from the doors for shorts and sandals. Bring your camera and trek up the volcanic crater Trou aux Cerfs for some stunning panoramic views of the island. Take a leisurely afternoon tour through the Botanical Garden of Curepipe. Spend some time grabbing souvenirs in the local markets, flush in the region. Spoil yourself with a day visit to the Le Neroli Spa near the casino.
