Grand Casino du Domaine

Located in the capital of Port Louis in the Riviere Noire District you can find Grand Casino de Domaine. Port Louis has been referred to as the star and the key of the Indian Ocean due to its part in the struggle between the British and French occupation. Spend some time checking out local museums and religious structures around the city when not on the gaming floor. Try the waterfront with its shops and restaurants. The casino is a little light in its offerings. There are only a total of 58 slot and video poker machines but a healthy selection of table games, ringing in at 27. Table games include 16 roulette tables and 9 blackjack tables with Oasis poker making up the difference. Denominations in slots vary and there is a Salon Prive for high rollers. Slots can be played beginning at 10 am while table games open at 8 pm. The casino closes at 4 am. Please note, hours do vary during holidays and Sundays when doors open at 2 pm. There are no hotels on site. Nearby is the Sunray Hotel located 2 km away in Coromandel. About 4 km out there are other options for accommodations. Spend time chatting up your hotel and casino staff and get recommendations on popular eateries In the area serving up authentic Mauritian cuisine or walk about the city finding your own. Nearby malls have food courts and fresh fruits can be picked up at the markets for light eats.
