Ciudad Juarez, once Paso del Norte, is a city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, lying on the Rio Bravo del Norte/Rio Grande and south of El Paso, Texas. As recent as 2013, was the addition of the Monumento a la Mexicanidads, the tallest structure in the city, and large park. Another park in the city worth checking out is the Parque Central Hermanos Escobar. The oldest standing building in Juarez is the Mision de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, built in the 17th century and restored in the 1970s. Also check out Chavena Fountain, constructed back in 1895. After viewing various sites and attractions around the city, head on over to the casino and try your luck.

Look for a selection of classic and video slot machines in varying denominations and video poker terminals. Place bets on major international sporting events and horse-racing in the sportsbook. If you prefer something a little quieter, you can always take in a session of bingo. Quiet, that is, until you get to scream BINGO of course. There’s a fair few things to do during your Mexican holiday, so some padding to your wallet from a sweet little slots or bingo win could help pay toward all those days and evenings out.

There are no hotels on site. As close as 0.2 km from the casino you can find the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown where guests have access to restaurants and nearby shopping like in the Las Misiones Mall. Rooms come equipped with satellite tv and guests are entitled to a free breakfast buffet. Amenities on site include a fitness centre, outdoor pool and whirlpool and there is a business center with free wireless internet access.

A little bit of everything can be found in this border town. For seafood, you can try Los Arcos or Villa del Mar, Chinese fare in Shangri-La and Brazilian in Fogueira. And of course, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sample authentic Mexican cuisine. One example would be Frida’s. You can always wander around the city, choosing your own venues, or ask casino and hotel staff to suggest those places which are popular with tourists and locals alike.

There’s several bars in the city. Head to Kentucky Bar, Hard Pop Bundas Bar, La Mulata, The News or find your own favourite watering hole. To discover a little bit of local history and culture, the museums and cultural centres are always a good stop. These include the San Agustin Regional Museum, Museo del Concorde, the Paseo del Norte Cultural Center (home of the Festival Internacional Chihuahua), La Rodadora Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Juarez, the Chamizal Archaeological Museum and the Museo de la Revolucion en la Frontera. Sports fans might like visiting the Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium, watching a bullfight in Plaza de Toros, or checking out Xtremo Park. Other areas of interest include the Benito Juarez Monument, built in 1906, the Chavena Fountain, built in 1895, and the Mision de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, built in the 17th century. If you prefer relaxing in the parks, try Parque Central Hermanos Escobar, Monumento a la Mexicanidad or Hamizal Federal Public Park.

The casino uses a player rewards system wherein accumulated points can be redeemed toward food and drink purchases. Be sure to ask staff about additional benefits as well as whether any contests or promotions are running during your stay.
