Mazgan Casino

Located in western Morocco, Casablanca is the largest city in the country. The population is an approximate 3.5 million people, and 6 million if you include the surrounding region. It’s also considered the chief port and what comes to mind when tourists have romantic images of Morocco. Head over to the largest mosque in all of Northern Africa, the Hassan II Mosque, also home to the world’s tallest minaret. If you’re keen on just lounging around outdoors or taking leisurely strolls, head to Parc de la Ligue Arabe (previously Lyautey), the city’s biggest park and home to the Casablanca Cathedral (Cathedrale Sacre-Coeur).

Located in the resort by the pool and gardens is Olives, where meals can be enjoyed indoors or on the terrace. Dishes are a mix of Italian and Mediterranean fare and diners can choose a la carte or buffet. Look for their Sunday brunch. For foods from various areas like the middle East, India and North Africa, head to Market Place with its buffet meals. For menu items like seafood, couscous and kebabs try Morjana, with its Lebanese and Moroccan fusion. If it’s simply seafood you have in mind, go to Sel De Mer, also with live music. If you choose to dine at the casino, look for Palm Grill, serving, drinks, lunches and dinners.

Attractions/NightLife

The casino runs various live entertainment events so be sure to ask staff what’s in store. For drinks head to Atrium Bar and Café, also serving continental breakfasts, lunches and light snacks. If you’re more into the club scene try Alias Club where you can dance the night away while sipping wine and champagne. Outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy the 72 par, 18 hole golf course at the resort. When looking for attractions in the city, there’s the Hassan II Mosque, which can seat 25,000 inside plus an additional 80,000 alone in the courtyard. Be sure to check out the world’s tallest minaret, at 210 metres. Head over to Marabout de Sidi Abderrhamane, a small island nearby, with the tomb of Sidi Abderrhamane Thaalibi.
