Palacio Real Tiahuanaco

San Miguel district was most popular among tourists from the 1920’s to the 1960’s and has since become more a middle class region. The area has some quite beautiful scenery and offers several parks. Consider spending your afternoons strolling about and absorbing the culture or enjoying a lazy afternoon with a picnic lunch in one of the green areas. Two nearby options include Parque Vallejo and Parques de la Huaca. The largest and most popular would be Parque de las Leyendas (Park of the Legends), also Lima’s biggest zoo. Another area of interest may be Pontifical Catholic University located on Av. Universitaria.

Spend time relaxing, sunning, or planning your next step at one of the district’s parks like Parques de la Huaca or Parque Vallejo. Spend the afternoon at Parque de las Leyendas, Park of the Legends, Lima’s largest zoo and check out what flora and fauna are indigenous to Peru.
