With around 35,000 people, St. Kitts was named by Chistopher Colombus after discovering the island, for his patron saint (St. Christopher), though the name was shortened to St Kitts. The island is rather breath-taking, so be prepared to spend time walking around taking in the scenery. Be sure to check out Mount Liamuiga, though frankly it would be hard to miss. Of course, don’t forget the beaches, for sunning, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. Remember to pack a camera for shots of the volcano and coast. When you’ve had your fill discovering the island (it takes at best, a day to walk it) unwind in the casino when you need some R and R indoors.

Activities you can participate on site include tennis, table tennis, snorkelling and volleyball.

Carnivores should head to the Royal Grille Steakhouse, open for dinners and with an extensive wine list. Seafood lovers should look to the Blu Seafood Restaurant, providing 180 degree views of the ocean. Also open for dinners. If Italian cuisine is what you’re looking for, there’s La Cucina, open for dinners and breakfasts seasonally. American fare for breakfast and lunch is found in Calypso Restaurant. International cuisine is dished up in Bohemia Beach Pool Bar and Grille. Lunch items include sandwiches, salads and burgers. Lighter fare, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night can be found in Café Calypso. Easy eats like pizza and ice cream are served in Pizza Shack, open seasonally. Over at the Royal St Kitt’s Golf Club, there’s lunch items like burgers and sandwiches.

Entertainment/NightLife

You can participate in several activities at the resort, like tennis, volleyball, an snorkelling. Off site, there’s more snorkelling and scuba diving, as well as horseback riding, hiking and sailing. If you’re feeling adventurous, consider a climb up Mt. Liamuiga. Enjoy all your favourite drinks in one of the restaurants or in the swim-up bar. To appreciate a bit of local history, visit the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. For indigenous flora, try the Fairview Great House and Botanical Garden. If you happen to be visiting during June, look for the annual music festival. If in December, look for Carnival. Golfers can enjoy a round over at the St Kitts Golf Club.
