If you happen to come to Port of Spain, Trinidad, (capital of the Republic Trinidad and Tobago) you can find a few things to do in this city of roughly 50 thousand people. Menu items include pastas, ribs, burgers, and steaks – classic fare which will make you feel at home. For fine dining Caribbean cuisine, try Battimanzelle, open for lunch and dinner. Alternately, walk around the city finding your own favourite eatery, or ask hotel and casino staff for suggestion on nearby places popular with locals and tourists alike. Try along Ariapita Avenue. Cuisines run the gauntlet with Chinese, Caribbean, Japanese, Creole and more.

Attractions/NightLife

When the sun sets hit one of the local pubs, bars or clubs. Alchemy caters to the upscale crowd so be prepared for a dress code. 51 Degrees, open Tuesday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is another venue to kick up your feet. Other venues include Zen, Coco Lounge and Shakers. During days, check out the indigenous flora over at the Tobago Forest Reserve or the Royal Botanic Gardens. For more natural beauty, try the Argyle Waterfalls. For fauna, there’s the Emperor Valley Zoo. Other local attractions include the National Museum and Art Gallery, the Red House, Independence Square, Queen’s Park Savannah, and Fort King George.
