SLS Las Vegas

The SLS Casino is located on the Northernmost part of The Strip at the property that was previously the Sahara. After more than 400 million dollars in renovations and more than three years after the Sahara's closure, the SLS opened its doors on August 23, 2014. The gaming floor at SLS is smaller than Sahara's once was with 60,000 square feet of gaming space, but the luxurious accommodations and amenities offer much more than Sahara ever did. The SLS is home to a wide variety of restaurants ranging from highly-rated and nationally renowned fine-dining venues to casual dining and grab-and-go eateries. The newly renovated property and rooms are sure to please everyone from the budget-conscious traveler to Vegas visitors who don't mind paying for the comfort of one of many available luxury suites. SLS Casino features a multitude of unique shops, including seven Fred Segal boutiques, a spa, a full-service salon, multiple pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The SLS Las Vegas also offers multiple meeting and event venues with catering available.

Gaming

The SLS boasts over 800 slot and video poker machines in various denominations as well as a high-limit room. Game offerings include Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks. The SLS also is home to over 70 table games of a wide variety, including, single and double deck blackjack, Blackjack Switch, Midi-Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat, EZ Baccarat, Fortune Pai-Gow Poker, Big 6, Roulette, Casino War, Craps, Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, Roulette, Let It Ride, Crazy Four Poker and Three-Card Poker. The SLS is also positively ideal for the Video Poker enthusiast, with over 200 Video Poker machines and liberal paytables, including nine games that pay over 99% with seven games that pay 99.92% or better. Among these games are 99.98% One-Eyed Jacks, 99.97% Double Joker Wild, 99.96% Double Double Bonus, 99.96% Deuces Wild 44, 99.95% Pick 'Em Poker, 99.94% Super Aces and 99.92% Joker Wild (Two Pair). The SLS has just recently opened, as of the time of this writing, so it remains to be seen how long these excellent Video Poker offerings will remain, but with $0.05, $0.10 and $0.25 denominations available on all of the 99.9%+ machines listed above, these could very well be the best overall Video Poker offerings on The Strip. The SLS also features a William Hill Sportsbook location with over 50 TV's.

Hotel/Accommodations

The SLS boasts a variety of 1,720 rooms and is ideal for everyone from budget-conscious travelers to individuals who want a more luxurious stay. The SLS has a wide assortment of, "Basic," rooms such as the Story Superior King which is a modest 325 square foot room featuring Simmons BeautyRest mattresses, snackboxes and a 55 inch HDTV. The World Superior Kings and World Superior Doubles also feature similar amenities and are at roughly the same price point. For a small price difference, guests of the SLS can also specifically book Story and World Superior rooms on the higher floors of the hotel. The 490 square foot LUX Signature Double Suites are slightly bigger and feature dual shower heads, larger bathrooms, twice daily housekeeping w/ turndown service, 24 hour food service, butler service and luxury showers. These rooms are also available in Kings as well as, "Pool View," rooms with the Pool View rooms coming in at a moderately higher price point due to having 632 square feet and separate living rooms and bedrooms. These rooms are also available with a specific request for a higher floor at a slightly higher price. While the prices are somewhat higher than Downtown Las Vegas properties (with exception to Downtown Grand and Golden Nugget) the lower-tier rooms are going to be some of the more economical choices to be found on The Strip.

Dining

The SLS features a number of fine dining and casual restaurants, including: Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres: Referred to as a, "Carnivorous Culinary Sensation," by Vegas Seven, Bazaar Meat features a menu exactly as the name implies, meat, lots of it. It is open from 5:30p-10:00p Sun-Thurs and 5:30p-11:00p on Fridays and Saturdays. Katsuya by Starck: Recipient of the Los Angeles Times Readers' Choice for Best Sushi, this restaurant features any number of delicious and hand-crafted sushi selections. It is open from 6:00p-10:30p on Sunday, Monday and Thursday as well as 6:00p-11:30p on Fridays and Saturdays. Cleo: Featuring a very economical and largely Mediterranean menu with a sprawling selection, this restaurant was selected as the #5 Hottest Restaurant in the U.S. by OpenTable Diners' Choice Awards. It is open from 6:00p-10:30p Tue-Thurs and 6:00p-11:30p Friday and Saturday. Ku Noodle: Featuring varied Asian cuisine, this restaurants is open daily from 5:00p-11:00p and is conveniently located between the casino floor and the guest lobby. Umami Burger: Voted Burger of the Year by GQ Magazine, Umami Burger is located near the William Hill Sportsbook and features an indoor and outdoor eating venue. These highly sophisticated and creative burgers only cost a few bucks more than lesser burgers at franchise restaurants, but your taste buds will be sure to thank you for the extra few bucks spent. The restaurant is open from 11p-11a daily as well as until midnight on Friday and Saturday. 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria: The Los Angeles Times remarked, "800 Degrees is Remarkable," this pizzeria focuses on using only the freshest ingredients and enables people to personalize their pizzas. The best part? The pizza is done in one minute! This location is open 11a-11p Mon & Thurs as well as 11a-4a Friday and Saturday. The Griddle Café: The Griddle Café boasts some of the best breakfast available in the entire city of Las Vegas. This location is open from 11:00p-4:00p Sun-Thurs and 24 hours Friday and Saturday. The SLS Buffet: The buffet announced its closure in late 2014, but indicated a planned reopening in 2015. The Perq: The Perq features gourmet coffee and a selection of carry-out foods. It is open from 6a-9p, daily.

Entertainment/Nightlife

LIFE: Life nightclub opens daily at 10:30p and is a multi-level and positively explosive party atmosphere with dazzling sights, sounds and over 20,000 square feet of space. Beach LiFE: LIFE nightclub connects to Beach LiFE which is a 10,000 square foot rooftop pool slated to open in Spring of 2015. Foxtail: Foxtail is a more upscale venue with VIP tables and over 8,000 square feet of space. It opens at 10:30p on Mondays. Foxtail Pool Club: The Foxtail Pool Club is an ideal destination for hotel guests featuring music, daybeds and cabanas. It is open during swimming season from 9:00a-6:00p The Sayers Club: This is a music venue that is both indoors and has an outdoor area facing The Vegas Strip. The nightclub opens at 10:30p Thursday-Sunday. Center Bar: As the name implies, this bar is located in the center of the casino floor and is open 24/7. The Monkey Bar: This is the lobby bar for the SLS and is open from 2:00p-12:00a Sun-Thurs and 10:00a-2:00a Friday and Saturday.
