Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe

While you may be familiar with Horizon Casino, which closed its doors in April of 2014, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino serves as its replacement. It made its grand opening in January 2015. This particular location has seen many gaming facilities come and go, including the aforementioned Horizon, as well as Del Webb’s High Sierra, and Del Webb’s Sahara Tahoe. However, South Lake Tahoe’s most recent addition is hoping to establish a permanent home, and with a well-known brand such as Hard Rock, it shouldn’t be a problem. Situated right on the California/Nevada border, this facility sits near the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada, where a plethora of outdoor activities await. The casino is built upon 25,000 square feet and is well-equipped with over 500 games, ranging from Slots to Table Games. A hotel with all of the necessary amenities is at your fingertips as well, complete with necessary amenities, in addition to four dining options and one bar.

Gaming

Guests will have access to a number of games. There are over 400 Slot machines to choose from, ranging from traditional reel games, to more advanced machines, offering additional features such as Free Spins, and Bonus rounds. Dining

There are four dining options on the property. Fire Break Kitchen & Bar is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner daily. This is a more casual option, ideal for any occasion and gets its name from the ‘Fire Break’ out-of-bounds ski area of Heavenly Mountain Resort. Park Prime is the steakhouse on site, offering a more sophisticated setting, ideal for special occasions or a romantic night out. The Oyster Bar specializes as a raw seafood bar as well as New Orleans-style cuisine. Finally, Fuel is a great spot to quickly grab snacks on the go.

Entertainment/Nightlife

While most of the dining options on site serve cocktails, Center Bar is the only spot on site completely dedicated to spirits and entertainment. The bar features a stage and LED screen to watch concerts and videos. Live music can also be enjoyed at Prime Steak.

Rewards Deals

Hard Rock’s very own rewards program is aptly named ‘Backstage Pass’. Based on your tier, you will receive priority entry and access throughout the hotel. Every 500 points equals $1 of credit towards Free Slot play, hotel, dining, nightlife, entertainment, spa/salon and retail. And 500 points comes easy! One hour of Poker play will earn you those 500 points. For table games, points are generated based on average bet and length of time played. Every $1 coin-in equals 1 point on Reel and Video Reel Machines and every $2 coin-in equals 1 point on Video Poker Machines. For non-gaming, every $1 spent on anything to do with the hotel or casino will earn you 10 points.
