With around 1.7 million people, Lusaka is not only the largest, but capital city in Zambia. Dining

The casino lounge allows diners to view games on their plasma screen, while their menu consists of contemporary fare. The hotel restaurant serves breakfasts from 6:30 am on week days, while 7 am on weekends, until 10 pm each day. Lunches run from 12:30 until 3 pm, and dinners are served 7 pm until 10 pm. The capital has several restaurants so you need only find the one that best suits your tastes and budget. Ask casino staff for recommendations on nearby eateries popular with locals and tourists.

Attractions/NightLife

Enjoy drinks in the casino in the lounge or back at the hotel in the Residents Bar, open 10-10. If you’re looking for a nightclub there’s Johnny’s, also with an indoor pool. The Polo Grill offers live music and during the summer has polo matches. For that pub-style atmosphere, try the Brown Frog. To walk through the region’s history hit one of the museums like the Political Museum, the Zintu Community Museum or the Lusaka National Museum. For indigenous flora there’s the Botanical Gardens and for fauna the Munda Wanga Animal Sanctuary or the Kalimba Reptile Farm. Other local attractions include the Agricultural Society Showgrounds, the Freedom Statue, the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and the University of Zambia. For shopping, try the Kamwala Market.
