Game Review Alien Autopsy

Top Electracade Gaming Casinos

Alien Autopsy isn’t for the faint of heart, OpenBet have really pushed the boundaries with their latest 5 reel, 15 pay line slot. It features eerie images of aliens on every spin and so-called ‘leaked’ footage of a real life alien autopsy from Area 51. Graphic, gripping and groundbreaking are three adjectives I’d use to describe this slot!

Alien Autopsy Theme

Those of you expecting a light hearted theme will be shocked by this slot. The reels are pretty tame when compared to the feature with strange alien symbols, alien silhouettes, film reels, newspaper clippings, no trespassing signs, spy planes and surgical equipments all taking their place as symbols.

As the reels spin a random image of an alien either laying on an autopsy table or undergoing surgery appears. It’s all rather grim but morbidly gripping at the same time, the constant drone of a spaceship and sound effects literally make your hairs stand on end - no exaggeration.

The slot is laid out in typical OpenBet style with the spin button in the centre, bet per line on and lines on the left and pay table on the right. You can also select auto spin and opt to turn off the freaky sound effects (if you are a wimp like me).

Alien Autopsy is a low stake slot, you can bet as little as 0.01 per line up to a staggering £25, lines can be set between 1 and 15 meaning the minimum stake per spin is 0.01 and the maximum is 375.

Alien Autopsy Features

The biggest selling point of Alien Autopsy is the bonus round which is triggered by three or more bonus symbols, this unlocks a video sequence and show an alien laid out on a table. You select three body parts to dissect, after doing so a video plays and you are awarded an instant prize. The feature is simple but insanely effective, I was quite shocked by the graphic nature of the videos - this slot certainly pushes the boundaries.

The designers have gone old school with the wild symbol, which literally just says ‘wild’. It takes the place of any symbol except the bonus symbol. During gameplay this didn’t pop up as often as the bonus symbol, we guess this is probably due to their desire to get the clips of aliens being disemboweled displayed as much as possible!

I think this slot is bizarre and awful. It would be quite good if they weren't showing real autopsy footage during "the bonus" - one of the most disgusting things about it is how low-paying "the bonus" is. The slot itself is very well constructed. It's got plenty to look at and captures the bleak vibe of the newspiece aspect of the story of Roswell. The lines on the slot include lines from L-R and R-L, and also llines in the middle. In this way, it is somewhat innovative. But the autopsy part is gratuitous and I found it disturbing.

If this treated like campy humor I might have liked it, but picking a body part to examine is gross, even though I didn't watch the video after the first scene. I also turned off the sound. On the bonus game I won 4x, 8x and 10x my wager. Regular payouts were not significant during the time I played. I probably won't play it again.

It's kinda freaky to be honest and didn't really appeal to me - perhaps I'm not a big enough consipiracy theorist or sci-fi fanatic to appreciate whats on offer here?! :) I don't know, but I can say the bonus feature didn't appeal to me at all especially the videos, what on earth is that all about?! ... Hmm.. much better slots to spend your money on I reckon!
