Gameplay revolves around a marine who is fighting to get out alive. You’ll get to experience his view through a helmet camera; take note a frozen view of this can be seen behind level 1 spins. There are three levels of gameplay and the main reels are named as ‘The Search’. During regular spins you will fill up the search bar at the top of the screen with every winning combination. This also adds to the multipliers and will trigger level 2 once the meter is completely full.
Level 2; The Encounter transforms the reels by overlaying them in front of a first person shooter type screen. Each spin that produces a win progresses you through the level, with the aim of reaching the Queen Hive.
During key moments your marine, shown in the first person, will encounter the aliens and will mow them down with machine gun fire. You will need to have ammunition for this to work though, which can be collected along the way. The level ends if you reach the Hive or if your marine runs out of ammo (heads up that this will not end well).
Level 3: The Hive shows your marine facing off against the super angry Queen Alien. This level begins with 5 re-spins and 4 filled ammunition clips (again you can collect more along the way). This level can be won with a single grenade, but will more than likely be more difficult. The aim here is to empty the 4 stage Hive health meter, killing the Queen and taking home a hefty coin payout. Again, your marine could succumb to the pressure and be killed; but you’ll still take home the winnings gained up until that point.
