The phrase ‘make a cool buck’ was coined in a different era but that doesn’t mean it’s not still used today. Indeed, Microgaming has used the idea of making a Cool Buck the theme for one of their latest three reel slots. It includes five paylines, wild symbols and the chance to win an impressive 6,000 coins.
Cool Buck Slot Theme
The slot presents everything on one screen with the reels and logo on the left and paytable on the right. This means uninterrupted and informed gameplay from the get-go, it’s almost as if you’re playing the game down your local arcade or pub.
A dollar bill is used as the slots background and a goofy looking rolled up bill stands next to the slots logo. For the most part this graphic remains still but does move when a win is paid using the wild symbol.
Other symbols include cherries, bar, two bar, three bar, 7 and dollar signs. When a win is paid the paytable lights up to mark the win.
Betting Options and More Functions
Bets begin at 0.25 with many options available up to the $25 maximum. This is achieved by changing the coin value and number of lines per spin.
This is one of a few Microgaming slots which lacks an automatic spin feature. Whilst this isn’t a necessity it would have been a useful inclusion.
Cool Buck Slot Features
There are five configurable paylines which not only alters the amount being wagered but also increases the prizes available. The paytable marks out the different prizes available per payline with the largest (6,000 coins) resting on the fifth line. Therefore if you want to play for big money you’ll have to ensure all five paylines are in play.
Thankfully the cool buck wild symbol can substitute for every other symbol which helps creates more winning opportunities. Three of these will also award the jackpot (see above).
