Diamonds downunder

Diamonds Downunder

Everyone knows how attractive the land Down Under is, with its red mountains, picturesque deserts, wide beaches, exotic animals. If you’re one of those who love Australia and its nature, but also love to play online slots, then Rival Gaming’s new release is just the thing for you. “Diamonds Down Under” is a game whose lovable graphics transfer the authentic feel of the world’s smallest continent and its inhabitants.

This five-reel, 15-payline video slot is all about its superb design. It’s set in the middle of an Aussie mountain, where an explorer is in search of fortune, digging for shiny diamonds. On his way, he meets cheerful Aborigines, less than cheerful crocodiles, lovable koalas, kangaroos, geckos, and many more. Apart from these symbols, the slot features a wild, two scatters, which trigger a bonus round and free spins with multipliers. These special features are really something worth hoping for, as the prizes they give away are most commonly quite generous.

But before we get carried away and start playing, it’s essential to decide how much to spend on “Diamonds Down Under.” The range at your disposal when it comes to bet amounts is excellent, as the game designers set coin denominations to go from $0.01 to $1, and allowed players to place up to five coins per payline. In addition, players are able to select the number of paylines to play on, but it’s worth keeping in mind that the maximum number of paylines brings maximum winning odds.

Special Features:

The only real downside to “Diamonds Down Under” is its stinginess when it comes to regular rounds, where one rarely wins bigger that the bet amount they place. However, this flaw is somewhat compensated by the game’s generous special features, which include wilds, scatters, free spins and bonus rounds. Wild symbol comes in handy whenever you need an extra symbol to form a winner. It appears on all reels and replaces other regular symbols. However, it does not appear very often in this game, so one cannot always count on its help.

“Diamonds Down Under” has two scatters – a cheerful Aborigine and an unfolded map of a diamond mine. The first one triggers 10, 20 or 100 free spins when 3, 4, or 5 of them appear on the reels, respectively. The free spins may award some excellent prizes, as they have a 3x multiplier attached to them and they can also be retriggered at any point. As for the other scatter, three or more of those will start a second screen bonus round, where you are prompted to choose the spots where the explorer should dig and thereby reveal instant cash prizes, which can be quite hefty and compensate for any money you lost during regular spins.

This likeable game is something worth trying for the sake of adventure. It puts you into an Indiana Jones-like setting, makes you want to spin more and more and see how the exploration ends. And who knows, if you get lucky and hit a couple of nice feature wins, you may soon be on your way to the land Down Under for real!

Although this Australian themed slot seems to have a not very strong paytable, it is one of the slots manufactured by Rival that seemed most generous to me so far, mainly because its bonus and free spins rounds are usually triggered quite easily, and usually awards granted by these features are quite decent. Your earnings during free games round games are multiplied by 3x, and I personally managed to re-trigger this feature up to 3 times and even activating some bonus round on the way. I think you should take a look at this game.

This being a slot based on Australia, I just had to have a try at it. It is not earth shattering, but its got enough in it to keep one interested and to hang out for the bonuses which are pretty good and come up often. Graphics are not great but all the right symbols are there ( as far as Australia is concerned ). Its a fair dinkum game.

This game doesn't really work for me. Low payoffs which are infrequent, sounds like someone flying a model airplane in the background, not a lot of animation. Glad others have had better experiences.

WOOW, I am a huge fan of Rival game and Diamonds Downunder is one of best Rival Games. I used to spend hours and hours playing video slot games by Rival software. This game has 15 paylines and 5 reels. Like in most other games coming from Rival it has two bonus rounds free spins bonus and pick up bonus. For 5 scatter symbols you get 100 free spins. This means that with a little luck you can have some big wins here. I have gotten 100 free spins several times. The last time when I get 100 free spins I played with a minimum bet per spin 0,15 euros and my win was about 100 euros during this 100 free spins. To get free spins in some game really feels good but to get 100 free spins feels amazing. Overall , this game is so fun and has everything I love- free spins bonus, pick up bonus, wild symbol also graphics and animations are great and the sound is fantastic. I would recommend this game to everyone and and I guarantee that you will enjoy playing this game. For this game I give max. 5 out of 5. and I am sure you will enjoy playing this game.

Although I'm not hugely keen on the cartoonish look of this game, it does have a high quality feel to it overall - presentation is nice, if not to everybodies taste. the relatively poor paytable though is a bit more universal - I cannot imagine there are many who will be all that impressed with the wins offered here. Still, there is at least a decent paying bonus sidegame, and a free spins round with a 3x multiplier - it's not enough to make this anything but average, though.
