If we’d asked you for one word to sum up the 1960s what would it be? Perhaps you’d say swinging, psychedelic or groovy and all would be right. This slot is themed around the latter though with five reels of groovy icons and features.

Groovy Sixties Theme

Music was a big part of the 60s, maybe even more so than today’s era. This is why the soundtrack included on the Groovy Sixties is so important. The designers have stripped out standard tunes and replaced them with tracks that match the theme.

The reels themselves are pretty hypnotic too with an orange color scheme and bright line markers which show each of the 40 paylines. You’ll find lava lamps, televisions, cine cameras, tape players, boots and rubber hippy daisy beetles on the reels along with J, Q, K and A icons to boost the winning combinations further.

Betting Options and More Features

The swirling spin button isn’t there for psychotropic effect, but can instead be used to start and stop the reels whenever you see fit. This is a standard feature on Net Ent slots and one which keen eyed gamblers can make use of. You’ll not be penalized for waiting for the reels to stop of their own accord though.

A tiny set of buttons in the bottom lefthand corner will allow you to access options, mute sounds or place bets using automatic spins.

Groovy Sixties Slot Features

Wild icons on Groovy 60’s are different from most because multiple wilds can appear on any of the reels. These stacked wilds can substitute for all regular icons which excludes the sixties swinger scatter.

Three hippy chick scatters will double your win and award five free spins. These free spins also benefit from x2 multipliers and can be retriggered if three additional scatters appear during any of the free spins.

Our Take on Groovy 60s

The Groovy Sixties is a slot which lives up to its namesake in terms of looks, feel and sound effects. It’s not overly cheesy either and opens itself up to all gamblers with its impressive range of bets. LCB users have rated it good or better and we’ve installed a free version above so you can play it and rate it too.

  • As I searched for a game that offers free spins I found this one, Groovy Sixties. It is a five reels slot with 40 paylines. From the first time I saw this slot it attracts me. I like the theme of this game and the Beatle reminds me of that film “Herbie”. As I said, this slot offers free spins when 3 scatter appears on the screen, you got 5 free spins (in my opinion too low). I played a session this slot and I tried different bets but I did not have any notable winnings and my balance was almost the same when I quit playing this slot. In my opinion is a average slot and I will play it again.

Groovy sixties is my favorite slot from the other clones of this slot 70s and 80s, i simply like this decade much more. But as for the gameplay i do not like this slot much because it has a very low paying paytable, the highest symbol pays only 400x coin value so only 100 times your bet and also when you get the free spins there are only 5 free spins. Of course if you get many stacked wilds this slot can produce big wins.

This slot seems a little old to me, I have not played Netent too long, I am getting to know the games slowly, and tend to like the newer games at Netent more so then the older games, however this game has a great looking Wild, the 60'sWIld, which is quite bright and great to look at and play with, especially when it is stacked. I enjoy this game, the music I keep on for awhile playing it then turn it off as it can be a bit much sometimes for me. :) It is a fun game to play, I haven't won really anything on it, but it does look like it may pay.

Groovy indeed. I like the hippie coloring and groovy sounds of this slot. 40 lines and stacked wilds can bring you a big win in free spins which have 2 x multipler, but the amount of spins (5) is pretty lame and the spins are very hard to retrigger. Good game to wager a bonus since it has pretty low volatility ., my biggest win is 120€ from a 0,4€ bet durig free spins

Groovy Sixties is another NetEnt videoslot I don’t really like to play. It has 5 reels, 40 paylines and the minimum bet is €0.40. The sixties theme doesn’t really do anything for me, it doesn’t speak to me nor do I like sixties style of the dated graphics.

I don't really think that they had to make 3 of these games, cuz every1 of them are similar.. However i still like these slots especially the free games mode (even thou i find it hard to trigger ). It only gives you 5 free spins with 2x multiplier, but the amount of wilds that usually pop on those spins are HUGE and can bring very big wins.

One of the three same games from netent, all identical but at least have a chance to pay some great wins due to stacked wilds on all reels.

Yeah, it adds up by getting scatters, and multiplier is associated to wild symbol only. In other words, no wilds = no multilier
