There are many, many slots these days. The choice is excellent, something new comes out each day, and graphics seem to improve with every newly issued slot. From time to time we even wonder if there’s still any room left for those simple classic slots, which sometimes seem like they don’t have so much to offer.
Maybe this drove Realtime Gaming to make a point about classic slots. They made a slot that seems like a mini revolution in the world of traditional slots; “Operation M.Y.O.W.” is both fun, interesting, and offers a range of choices that many other 3-reel slots don’t have. Yes, it does look like a plain classic slot, but if you take a closer look at it, its characters, as well as paytables, are much different than usual. First of all, the symbols involve a number of adorable kitties (there are bat cats, lucky cats, kung fu cats, etc.), but apart from those, there are also some Chinese symbols (lotus flowers, Chinese signs, dragons, and others).
If you need some explanation as per how to play this game, there’s no need to worry. “Help” section is there to give you detailed instructions, and here you can find some basics: To start with, you need to choose a credit chip (the slot offers denominations of $5, $25, and $100). Then comes the coin amount, which starts at $0.05 and go up to $5. You can place up to three coins per bet, which is quite recommendable, because the difference in payouts can vary very much, depending on how many coins you place per bet.
Speaking of payouts, this is the only game I’ve ever seen that gives its players a chance to pick their payout chart of preference. And there are plenty on offer: The King chart, Lucky Cat chart, Bat Cat chart, Kung Fu Kitty chart, and Catzilla chart. Each of these charts focuses on a particular character, or a particular number needed to form a winner. Also, there are significant differences in regards to the amounts paid by each of these charts; the lowest max prize is offered on Bat Cat chart, and it’s modest 50 coins; all other max prizes are much higher than this, and the highest one is 5000 coins on Catzilla chart.
Still, there’s something interesting about these charts. I tried them all, and whenever I would switch to a new chart, I’d start getting symbols that would be great for any other chart but that one. After some time this becomes ridiculously funny, but make no mistake – there are winnings as well. None of them are too big, but they’re quite enough to keep you off a losing streak
As I said at the beginning, “Operation M.Y.O.W.” is somewhat revolutionary, and more interesting than most other classic, 3-reel slots. It’s also the most generous classic slot I’ve ever played – it seemed like I cannot spend the whole $25 chip I placed. And believe me, I tried; but even though I spent quite a lot of time playing, I remained at pretty much the same sum. So, we can freely say that I had quite a lot of fun – free of charge!
