Albeit a cunning attempt has been made to alter the title as to make it more enticing, Novomatic’s Cindereela slot remains just another take on the classic fairy tale. What makes the title stand out, somewhat, is its high volatility. It is certainly fitting for high rollers and treasure hunters with deep pockets. Budget gamblers might wish to reconsider, though.

Theme

A damsel in distress, an evil stepmother, a prince, and a menagerie of domestic animals? Yup, that’s Cinderella for you, misspelling or no! Visuals are, we suspect, intentionally left rustic, while the soundtrack (rather, a bunch of separate sounds, for the most part) screams “retro”… and loudly at that! Upon hitting a winning combination, a short cartoonish theme plays out.

Bottom line, Cindereela offers no novelties whatsoever. However, the graphics are neat, the gameplay fast enough, and the wins – more than lucrative. Unless you are looking for special effects, this slot just might be worth a spin.

The wild substitutes for all symbols except for the scatter. In her own right, the Cindereela symbol pays out 20, 200, 2.500, and 10.000 credits for 2, 3, 4, and 5 of them lined up, respectively.

On top of triggering the bonus game, the fairy godmother also bestows scatter payouts, as follows: 10, 50, 200, and 2.000 for 2, 3, 4, and 5 of them lined up, respectively. A high-variance slot, and no mistake!

As regards the bonus round, get 3 or more scatters to trigger it. A clock that shows the number of free spins awarded will be displayed on the right-hand side of the reels. One tick per round, and you can get anywhere between 12 and 30. All wins scored during the bonus feature are doubled. For some added enjoyment, the feature is retriggerable. Our Take

In all sincerity, Novomatic did a great job with the extras. The theme-overdose aside, Cindereela does offer a number of cool features and multiple chances at massive payouts. Free spins come in generous amounts, too. The slot is definitely worth a try – a couple of spins, at the very least!
