Every girl’s favorite fairy tale has gotten a new makeover in Cayetano’s Cinderella's Palace slot! The topic might have been exploited in the extreme, but that still doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement. We actually liked this interpretation a good deal. It’s difficult to coin exactly why; let’s try with “it reminds us of one of the first Disney cartoons we saw”. Frank enough?
Theme
Damsels in distress have ever been immortalized, for one reason or another. Various takes are, therefore, to be expected. Still… If we could put a single complaint forward, we’d say that the heroine of Cinderella's Palace is by far more modern than she has any right to be. Getting with the times is not necessarily bad, but we probably prefer the old-school depiction of, say, Red Tiger’s.
That aside, we find Cinderella's Palace to be refreshingly entertaining. Both the graphics and the soundtrack are decent. The extras easily make up for just any complaint, though. Potential bonus prizes are more than lucrative, so it’s definitely a slot worth trying.
Betting Options and Other Functions
Cinderella's Palace has 5 reels and 9 paylines, and must be played with just one coin per line. The jackpot is 10,000 coins. The RTP rate stands at 95.68%.
Regular symbols include the royal suit, a clock, the prince and the legendary shoe. Except for the titular character, nothing else is too flashy (not even the prince!).
Payouts:
- 10, J, and Q are the lowest-paying symbols: 3, 4, or 5 of these will award you 5, 20, or 100 coins, respectively;
- A and K will award you 10, 50, and 200 coins for 3, 4, and 5 symbols, respectively;
- The shoe and the clock will award you 20, 100, and 500 coins for 3, 4, and 5 symbols, respectively;
- The prince pays out 50, 500, and 1,000 coins for 3, 4, and 5 symbols, respectively;
- The fairy grandmother pays out 5, 20, and 200 coins for 3, 4, and 5 symbols, respectively;
- Cinderella pays out 100, 1,000, and 10,000 coins for 3, 4, and 5 symbols, respectively.
All winning combinations pay left to right.
Features
The fairy grandmother stands for the game’s scatter. Lining up 3 or more of them will trigger the bonus game (15 free spins at a 2x multiplier). The feature can be retriggered, to the same effect.
The Cinderella symbol is the wild. It substitutes for all symbols except for the scatter and the bonus symbol.
The pumpkin carriage serves as the bonus icon. When it appears on reels 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously, the Carriage to Riches bonus will be triggered. You’ll get to use a magic wand (presumably the fairy grandmother’s) three times to move the carriage on its way to the castle. The place it stops at will determine the prize size (50x to 250x your total bet).
Our Take
Cinderella's Palace is neither bad nor spectacular. The payouts are on a par with similar slots, so it all comes down to one’s taste. In any case, you can try it out for free!
