How to play Face Up 21 Blackjack

Blackjack comes in many varieties, but very few allow you to see the dealers hand as well as your own. That’s where this game differs because you get to see both the dealers cards at the same time of yours. This gives you the chance to make an informed hit/stand decision, which should hopefully make winning easier (especially with a bit of practice).

How to play Face Up 21 Blackjack

Things begin with bet setting, which is similar to what you’d experience at a real life casino. Basically you’ll need to choose your chip (or chips) and place them on the bet circle. You can place bets on up to three hands at a time, which is why there are three circles.

Pressing deal will automatically add two cards to each active hand; the kicker here is that you also get to see the dealers hand (both cards face up). You can then decide whether to play or stand your hand. You cannot risk a tie though because that will result in a loss (except a Blackjack tie).

At the end of each game you’ll have the option to repeat your bet or play with a clean table. If you choose the latter you will have to set up each hands wagers again.

This is a very unusual and interesting game of blackjack! The dealer's hand is face up (both cards), but the player must play for that huge advantage. Player blackjack only pays even money, and the dealer wins all ties. This game is a fun and interesting game for the blackjack player that wants to try something different!
  • Face Up 21 - you might have heard of this as Blackjack Peek, Double Exposure Blackjack, or some other names I expect - it is the variant whereby you can see both of the dealers cards immediately, and make your decisions based on this additional knowledge. Obviously there has to be some trade off in terms of player rules to allow for this, and here, as with most similar variants, the dealer will hit all 17s, blackjacks will only pay even money, and all ties except blackjacks will go to the dealer rather than pushing. So it's quite a big trade off, but still a great fun game all the same.

Decent variation of blackjack the plus side is you can see the dealers card so you don't have to always presume they have a 10 or an equivalent card. The downside is the dealer always wins on ties, except for blackjack. pretty simple really, everything else i believe is the same as standard blackjack
