Theme

Golden Sphinx is set amidst the picturesque pyramids... in terms of imagination, so don’t take us literally! The reels are populated with the symbols habitually associated with the setting. Nothing too inventive, but nothing too flashy either.

The slot is a 2D colorful hocus-pocus accompanied by an oriental soundtrack on steroids. Visuals-wise, to the left and right of the reels, and also fading into the background, is a rather misplaced Corinthian order topped off with bright red and green ornaments. How come it made it all the way to another continent, we guess we’ll never learn.

Our Take

Wazdan’s Golden Sphinx certainly cannot be categorized as a masterpiece. We doubt it very much that even its creators hoped it would become one.
