How to play Gothic

Gothic is one of the more unusual Genesis Gaming slots, but in this case its unusualness certainly makes it a better game. Players will get to experience 243 ways to win with the additional bonus of wilds, scatters and free spins.

How to play Gothic

Gothic offers a fair few betting options that rely on gamblers changing three main options:

• The gravestone graphic has a - and + button on it. These are used to change coin values

• The coins option decides how many coins are in play

• The bet max option provides a quick way to select the maximum number of coins.

Automatic spins can be used instead of the regular spin button to place bets. This function means players can choose 5 to 500 spins that play consecutively using the preset total bet. These auto spins can be paused/stopped at any time if you want to change bets or stop playing.

Gothic Slot Features Explained

Gothic has a wild icon in the form of a crystal ball. These wilds may substitute for any other icon, except the scatter and bonus. This means plenty more winning combinations and the machine automatically pays out the larger prize if more than one is created.

Three or more scattered gem icons will trigger a bonus that plays on a second screen. You'll be asked to choose different gems by clicking on them until you've either revealed every prize or the word 'collect' is found.

A well designed slot that looks really good, but it is lacking in the fact that there are no free spins or even a multiplier. The bonus is ok, but most of the time you dont make a lot out of it. Still, I rate it above average and give it 3 stars.

Adjacent symbols pay on any position left to right and this kind of characteristics usually encourage me to play until win; so that I played until trigger the bonus round and it went good for me since I could break almost all the gems before pick collect, even then I couldn't ending up winning but I also didn't lose so much playing for fun, I expected a little more from this game but it's ok.

Just as an info to avoid possible confusion, Microgaming Quickfire platform includes number of games made by smaller manufacturers like Genesis gaming, Push Gaming, Rabcat, Quickspin etc. That is why Quickfire loader shows on number of games that aren't made by Microgaming.

It's always interesting to compare the 243 way games of smaller companies like this here, Gothic from Genesys, against the juggernauts of the industry such as Thunderstruck 2 and Immortal Romance. It's just a co-incidence then that this game loads up showing the Microgaming Quickfire loader - its not actually an MG game. The paytable has a very different feel to MGs 243 ways games, and I guess this is because there are no multiplier based free spins or stacked wilds allowing wins on many ways simultaneously - this is okay though because you still win more often as a result of the 243 ways, and the payouts are really quite nice indeed.
