Red Dog is a poker game that is both exciting and exceeding quick to learn how to play. Each game could be over in a flash, or could require the player to make a decision whether to play or fold. Gameplay is therefore very exciting, which is a relief when you consider the way this poker game is uniquely named.
How to Play Red Dog
Each game begins with a setting of your ante bet. Like in a real life casino this requires you to choose a chip or combination of multiple chips. You'll then be dealt two cards facing up, if these cards are the same value a third card is dealt. If you have a matching trio at this stage a return of 11:1 is paid, if not you'll play on.
The next stage sees the dealer issue one more card. It'll be your job to predict whether this card will have a value between the two original cards dealt. The rule of thumb here is that a smaller gap has a potentially larger return, because the odds of winning are smaller. Returns work on the following spread basis:
- spreads between 4 - 11 pays 1:1
- A spread of 3 pays 2:1
- A spread of 2 pays 4:1
- A spread of 1 pays 5:1
Red Dog is very easy to learn, but practice makes perfect. With that in mind we'd gently remind you that there's a free Red Dog game above. Enjoy!
