How to play Ultimate Texas Hold'em

Ultimate Texas Hold’ em is a video poker machine where you play against the dealer. Texas Hold ‘em is one of the more popular poker variants because it involves community cards and several rounds of wagers to see the end result. This brings skill, anticipation and a little luck into proceedings; plus there’s the chance to bet on trips and more.

How to play Ultimate Texas Hold’ em

Before you can play an ante and blind must be set. These are your two initial bets that are chosen from the chipstack in the bottom corner. At this time you can also place a ‘trips’ bet, which is a side bet that pays if three matching cards are drawn.

Once bets are set you’ll receive 2 cards, then you can decide whether to raise or check. You’ll then see 3 community cards and will get the same question; raise or check. You’ll finally see all 5 community cards and your strongest hand is created from this. At this stage you must decide whether to play, for a cost of a bet equal to your ante, or fold your hand.

After the game concludes you'll be given the chance to repeat your bets or use a new bet. This is a fairly standard function that helps keep games moving at a fast pace.

  • Outstanding. Well managed and good response time to bets. Probably the best ultimate game I have played outside a real casino. Five stars.
  • Here we have an interesting version of the hybrid Texas Holdem games like the ones found in some casinos. In this game it is always heads-up with the dealer with split bets up to four times. Players bet progressively as the cards are turned over, and potentially the player can significantly increase the bet amounts as they hit a big hand. I think the best feature is the 2 full payout tables that carry very high bonus multipliers for great poker hands. This allows players to decide whether or not to "lay back" and wait for the big hand, or play aggressively and go for the rakes. The final word on this game is this is a game that requires some patience and a bankroll, but the winnings potential is huge on one lucky hand!
