I am not all that certain what Wonderheart has to do with Alice in the Wonderland, but obviosuly there is a connection of some sort. The game offers some magical stories and fairy tales to browse. Besides this, there’s the low volatility, several bonus features and some truly massive prizes to chase. As usual, the game also offers EGT progressive jackpots for all bet levels.
Theme
Alice in the Wonderland is one of the most famous fairy tales out there, and the theme does quite a fantastic job of bringing it all on screen. It’s no movie of course, but the execution is still quite solid. Not to mention, that this is one of the rare games where the playing card ranks are a tight fit for the theme. Music and sound effects are unfortunately sub-par, which is no surprise given the company. The game looks like it was made for gaming terminals, but this doesn’t mean the quality is bad.
Betting Options and Functions
This game offers the same as most other games from this publisher. This means that there are five reels, with three symbol positions each. Through these run twenty paylines from left to right. The game offers quite low volatility.
Symbol combinations come between three and five. Betting is a mix of coins per line and selected denomination for each. Slightly different from the usual, but in effect, it means that you start from 0.20 coins per spin.
The interface could use a bit of a facelift, especially since it seems to be in use in all EGT slots. On the other hand, there is nothing except the look that is a drawback. All the options from muting(you’re gonna use it) to autoplay are there and easily clicked or flicked.
Features
There are four jackpots and these are the same that you will find in pretty much all the slots from this publisher. The possible wins range from thousands to hundreds of thousands. The fact that the jackpots are shared amongst all of the games means that they can grow quite high quite fast. Definitely something you might want to take a look at.
The game has a double wild symbol. This is not a multiplier, but instead a wild that takes one space but counts as two. This means that it alone is enough to trigger a win if it lands on the leftmost reel. There is also a normal wild which functions as...well, normal.
The game also offers bonus games. These are triggered and re-triggered by scatters. They do not offer any special functions besides the seven spins that are awarded to the player. Wonderheart also comes with the gamble system that allows doubling all wins of a certain size(bigger wins are exempt).
Our Take
Where the name comes from remains a mystery. If you have a clue do leave a comment!
The game itself is pretty good. The theme itself is nice, but the main reason to play this game is the collection of big wins combined with low volatility. The game combines special features with good basic wins. And then there are the progressive jackpots. Give this EGT slot a try here in demo mode or pick a casino to play in!
