Fake Games and False Licensing Information from Twist and Vulkan Casinos

Fake Games and False Licensing Information from Twist and Vulkan Casinos

If you’ve ever loaded a Slot or any other casino game and thought it looked just a bit off, you may have been on to something. LCB has discovered that "US friendly" Russian online casino brands Twist Casino and its sister site, Vulkan Casino, which are owned and operated by Twist Services Limited, have been passing off pirated games from Novomatic as genuine titles.

Both brands have been added to our warning list and we do not recommend real money play from either one of these sites.
When VulkanCasino initially launched, the casino claimed to be licensed by EveryMatrix, when which in fact, they are not. We approached them about this and questioned them about their licensing pointing out that they do not appear on the EveryMatrix client list here. https://everymatrix.com/clients?product=CasinoEngine
We received no response to our inquiries; however they conveniently removed the following information from the website:

The website is operated and managed by EveryMatrix Ltd, a company bearing registration number C44411, and having its registered address at Level 4, Suite 10, Portomaso Business Tower, Vjal Portomaso, St. Julians, STJ 4012., STJ 1081, Malta. EveryMatrix Ltd. is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (www.MGA.org.mt) in virtue of a Class 1 license numbered MGA/CL1/497/2010 issued on the 2nd of May 2012. The gaming platform is provided by EveryMatrix Software Ltd. by virtue of a Class 4 license numbered MGA/CL4/497/2011 issued on the 27th of April 2012 by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The Casino games, Quickfire, are provided by EveryMatrix N.V. a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of Curacao, bearing company registration number 108354 and having its registered address at Dr. Hugenholtzweg Z/N, Curacao and is licensed and regulated in virtue of license number No. 8048/JAZ granted by the Government of Curacao. In terms of deciphering the real from the fake, there are visual clues on games like different fonts, menu options, buttons, launcher and loading screens. To illustrate here is a Genuine Novomatic Game – Lord of the Ocean:

Lord of the OCean

The most recent LCB investigation of Vulkan revealed that they expanded the level of piracy by offering Aristocrat's 50 Dragons game with an awkward custom launcher hosted on a pirated source.

Inspecting the Source Code

When it comes to source code inspection, you’ll notice that the pirated games are hosted on this domain: http://st.flashgamesoftware.com

Considering the strange domain above, game URL’s, for example the Book of Ra, would appear as follows once you inspect the source:

Book of Ra Pirated source

An example of a good source from a reputable casino such as Grosvenor would show the following URL for Book of Ra upon inspection is coming from GreenTube:

Book of Ra Genuine source

As you can see, Grosvenor’s version of the game is 100% legit as its source if the Greentube website, a subsidiary of Novomatic. To see how a genuine Novomatic game should appear, take a look at the free version here on LCB, which shows the loader, menu, buttons, etc.

  • Never been a fan. there almost annoying promotions and there games are not my cup of tea. Plus i dont know how much i can trust anything coming out of Russia. It makes me so mad. A casino like any business or way of marketing yourself will have more business and a better view in the publics mind if they were just legit. Husstlers dont stay hustling for to long, people get wise.
  • i play at vulkan casino and i'm glad i didn't deposit my money, ty for the info.
  • oh dear, I am a member of twist casino, lucky me I never made a deposit there because they looked very fishy and cheap. I hope they will be sued and bankrupt and must pay their fine for the rest of their life.
  • I would love to hear the legal action outcome, surely the people behind these fake casinos should face prison time and huge fines. I'm pretty sure some of the money these thieves have made has been stashed or hidden in secret bank accounts. Lock these people up! (ps i would never deposit at a dodgy casino)
  • Great... I have made like 20 deposits at Twist Casino, now I'm not surprised that I have lost them all. :/ Too bad I didn't know it earlier. Anyway, good job LCB, at least I won't waste cash there anymore...
  • Thank you Kimmmmie, that was the question I had. I wanted to know if anyone had been paid and you answered. No one else has weighed in as of yet. Either way, I will not be depositing with them. Your cash out may have been a fluk, who knows but when a casino does shady things like this, I avoid them.
  • @Kimmmmie since their games are fake then the actual RTP of those games is not the same as in case of the original. And they can do what ever they want with these games, and set them up to cheat players. So them paying on time has nothing to do with them offering pirated games and cheating the players. Best course of action is to avoid these casinos at all cost. cheers Zuga
  • Thanks for the warning LCB!!! It's good to be reminded to always watch out and be alert on fraudsters. Although I have to say so far I haven’t encountered any real problems at Twist. Even though I rarely deposit I get regular freebies and last year I even won $100 in a tournament (I didn't even realise I was playing)! When I made a withdrawal, much to my surprise, it was in my moneybookers account less than 24 hours later.
  • THX LCB Teams , It's tricky to join new casino we do appreciate it , I always check the reputation, review about a casino before I do deposit.
  • Thanks for the heads up LCB !!! will surely avoid them !!
