NetEnt CEO Per Eriksson Reflects on 20 Years of iGaming Success From the beginning Net Entertainment has been a pioneer within the iGaming sector and this year the company celebrates 20 years since its 1996 launch into the industry. NetEnt published an exclusive interview with its CEO, Per Eriksson, on its official YouTube channel.

Extending its reach across a global market, the company has 200 games available in 25 various languages. On average, players generate 100 million transactions daily across its suite of games, which include Live Casino Games, traditional Table Games and Slots. In fact, they are responsible for developing some of the most recognizable Video Slots of all time such as Gonzo’s Quest, Starburst, Hall of Gods and even its most recent releases including Theme Park: Tickets of Fortune, When Pigs Fly and NRVNA: The NXT Experience. Its NetEnt Rocks series has also generated lots of excitement with fans screaming for Guns ‘N’ Roses, Jimmy Hendrix and Motörhead games.

The skills that the team puts forth in terms of the development of each of its new titles has been heavily recognized throughout the industry. Just last year the company was the recipient of seven industry awards and continues to claim various awards into its 20th year.

In the interview, Anna Romboli, Communications Director NetEnt, sits down with Eriksson to discuss the various factors that have contributed to the company’s success.

NetEnt 20 years – An interview with CEO Per Eriksson:

  • NetEnt really need to spend more time reflecting on their current market position in my view, I really don't understand why their name is still regarded with the respect it is considering their poor output in terms of slots and games recently. Starburst and its clones are AWFUL games, for me they peaked with Dead or Alive and that game is real old now. I hope they will turn it around at some point.
  • Dear Sir: please, please, please, please allow licensing for Canadian players so that we can have NetEnt again at GUTS, etc...pllease...trying not to be undignified, here, but GUTS has been gutted...without NetEnt games available. It has less than half the colour and cheerfulness, it's lost sooo much personality... It hurts, Sir. First Frankenstein was gone, and I should've known, then...How can you be convinced? ...Okay, I tried...
