Provider of market-leading online and mobile casino games, Yggdrasil, has announced that it will be taking on a new chief financial officer. Fulfilling the position is Frida Gustafsson, a finance professional who comes from NetEntertainment. She was employed by NetEnt for a total of six years, fulfilling a variety of roles for the brand, including finance manager for tax and new markets.
Prior to working for NetEnt, Gustafson worked for Deloitte Sweden as an auditor.
Over the last year, the company has made an effort to engage in a recruitment process, which sees Gustafson as its most recent executive hire. In fact, due to its recent push in hiring new employees, its staff has grown from 25 to 65 individuals. Additionally, both its Malta office, where Gustafsson will be based, and global technology centre in Poland have simultaneously grown along with its team.
The company has also established a new commercial operation in Gibraltar.
According to Yggdrasil Gaming CEO, Fredrik Elmqvist, “As Yggdrasil grows, it is important we assemble a world-class team of executives and Frida is one of the sharpest financial minds in gaming. She will be a huge asset as we continue to expand as a company.”
Gustafsson commented, “I am delighted to be joining Yggdrasil at such an exciting time. Everyone in our industry knows about Yggdrasil, and from what I’ve seen already there is an opportunity for massive growth over the coming years. I look forward to being a part of the company’s ongoing success story.”
