UK advertising codes are changing this September; here's how to get the detail

Even major, well governed online gambling operators have occasionally fallen afoul of UK advertising standards enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (see previous InfoPowa reports).

It is therefore clearly important for marketing managers to ensure they are up to date on the requirements to avoid the time, cost and embarrassment of being publically carpeted on non-compliant or unsuitable adverts.

The ASA is addressing the need for more knowledge on the new CAP and BCAP Codes which come into force in September, organising a morning seminar at the ASA offices in High Holborn, London on 1st September 2010.
