Internet Gaming System now open to developers

Third party content developers can now access Internet Gaming System, propriety of a skill and casino games specialist GameAccount Network, it was announced on Dec. 13. It is explained that such a move comes in anticipation of the Italian government’s decree to regulate cash play casino and slots in 2011, estimated to bring up to Euro 20 billion annually.

Third party developers are offered a solid distribution opportunity GameAccount Network IGS, deployed on hardware in the UK, Alderney, Gibraltar and Italy, as well as easier access to regulated markets such as Italy through its existing licensee operators.

Some of the leading Italian operators are supplied by GameAccount Network, including SNAI, Lottomatica, Sisal, Intralot Italia, Eurobet Italia and Cogetech, and the company is also responsible for the excellent sum of Euro 8,8 million ($11.7 million) wagered on Italian skill games such as Briscola, Scopa, Blackjack and Burraco during November 2010.

November also proved to be lucrative in terms of 'play-for-free' casino games specifically optimized for the Italian market with SNAI. The company expects to sign another giant licensee by the end of the year.

Apart of this, the company’s plans include introducing an open door policy to partners with gaming content, which should enlarge the selection for the Italian licensees and bring more profit from the launch of real money online casino games. According to their spokesman, they’re already negotiating integration with some European third party content platforms and the selection of localized casino games, expecting the first partnership announcements to be made at the beginning of 2011.

It was stated by the company’s Managing Director Dermot Smurfit: "By developing a competent application protocol interface for both third party integrations and the localised rollout of casino games, GameAccount Network is ready to bring regulated Italian gaming operators the best platform and gaming content available today."

"We've already completed our first bingo product platform integration and in contrast to other platform providers, we are opening our doors to developers of other exciting casino content."
