Fast-paced progress to be maintained
Despite a temporary delay in the passage of a bill proposing legalization of intrastate online gambling in the state of New Jersey, S490, by small tax tweaks, the bill’s sponsor and co-author Senator Ray Lesniak seems quite determined to keep its progress through the political system at the same, fast-paced level.
Due to the tweaks, before it gets before the Assembly the bill has to go through the formality of the Assembly Budget Committee.
It was revealed on Dec. 15 that Lesniak is pushing for the Budget Committee hearing to be held before January 6, in order to enable the bill to be voted through the Assembly and presented to the state governor for signature and passage into state law.
Update: January 6 to See Vote on New Jersey Legalization Bill
