Buongiorno and Playtech ink a deal

A new announcement came from the Italian online gambling market, with the reputable Italian mobile operator Buongiorno inking a deal with gambling software developer Playtech plc, which will provide its new partner with online casino product, whose launch is expected in early 2011.

Over 300 million users from 57 countries benefit from Buongiorno’s entertaining mobile content. Italians can already play poker and bingo under its increasingly popular Winga brand, all fully in line with the Italian regulations set out by AAMS.

With this innovation, the Italian market will get new ways of playing, and Winga’s offering will be set apart.

It was stated by Andrea Casalini, Buongiorno’s CEO: "Buongiorno's e-gaming offering, Winga.it is set to develop in two directions in the coming few months, once [Italian] regulations allow.

"Firstly, via the expansion on our existing gaming offering, to include lotteries, casino games and more; this is where our casino agreement with Playtech will play a key part, enabling this exciting expansion to happen. Secondly, the provision of the Winga offering on the mobile channel, leveraging Buongiorno's ten years of experience in this sector.'

On the other hand, Playtech CEO, Mor Weizer, said: "This agreement is a significant step forward for Playtech in Italy. Given Buongiorno's historic mobile expertise, it is also an excellent opportunity to implement some unique technologies for the Italian market, as Playtech's cross-platform capability fits very well with Buongiorno's business model. We look forward to developing this relationship in the coming months."
