Interviewing some of the planet's top female players

Dianna Donofrio, host to WomensPokerYak.net which claims to be one of the hottest new poker podcasts on the internet, will be interviewing some of the planet's top female players, including Evelyn Ng, Debbie Burkhead and Nancy Todd Tyner on Yaktivate.net soon.

Professional poker player Evelyn Ng starts off this series, sharing her views on women's participation at the 2008 World Series of Poker and her early career as a dealer. Despite never winning a major tournament, she is one of the most recognisable female poker personalities and has featured on television shows like Poker Royale, Poker After Dark, NBC's National Heads Up Poker Championship and the World Poker Tour.

Donofrio also spotlights Debbie Burkhead, a columnist for Poker Player Magazine and PokerPlayerMagazine.com. Over the years Burkhead has managed to amass an impressive list of poker accomplishments and cashes. She plays tournaments that have a comfortable buy-in, usually under $1 000, and often wins her seat through satellites. Her lifetime earnings from poker stand at over $145 000 - not bad for a retired cash player who plays only for the love of poker.

Nancy Todd Tyner is the 2008 WPT Ladies Champion and Past President of the American Association of Political Consultants. Poker and Politics has (with the emphasis on has, as in past tense) been traditionally a "man's world" but Tyner crossed the barriers in both and has some interesting insights and anecdotes to offer.

Donofrio herself has been part of the poker industry for 20 years and brings her talents, knowledge and poker contacts to her listening audience. Formerly on the staff of US Senator Birch Bayh and Gov. Matthew Welsh (both of Indiana) and ombudsman to former Mayor Russell G. Lloyd of Evansville, IN, she now devotes her time, passion, and energy to Poker Charity Events as President of PokerGivingBack, playing poker and podcasting.

Future guests/podcast stars on her WomensPokerYak channel will include Nolan Dalla, Media Director, World Series of Poker; Susie Issacs, two time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and Lisa Tenner, Co-Owner Card Player Cruises and owner of Tenner & Associates.
