German Liberalization Inevitable, Claims Bwin Chief

But is it also imminent?

According to the CEO of the Austrian online gambling giant Bwin Interactive, Norbert Teufelberger, the German market is bound to open up and relax the current monopoly of the country's sixteen states (provinces).

He stated this week that he anticipates a positive decision from the government by the end of the week, adding that in case of liberalization of the German market, his company, which is currently in the process of merging with another industry giant Party Gaming plc, is ready to pay taxes and apply for licensing in an open and competitive market.
