Affiliates speculate on latest communication
It was reported this week that online gambling marketing affiliates received communication from the Casino Coins group, advising that it will no longer be accepting new customers from May 16th, 2011, for its brands Caribbean Gold, English Harbour, Millionaire Casino, Silver Dollar, Slots Galore, Super Slots and VIP Slots.
"Affiliates that are on a revenue share model will be paid on a quarterly basis for all players referred to Casino Coins beginning on June 1st, 2011," the email reads, adding: "The revenue share earned for the month of May will be paid by June 15th, 2011 with the first quarter paid by September 15th, 2011."
The email caused much speculation that the affiliate program, which boasts such fine internet gambling brands, has closed, but that existing players referred to its brands in the past will continue to be serviced. This was deemed suspicious in that the closure is just a switch in marketing strategy from affiliate activity to more direct player acquisition tactics.
So far, no comment has arrived from Casino Coins.
