Spin Palace player wins the tournament

These days, slot fans had a great chance to scoop a nice win at Microgaming's online multi-player network tournament, Grand Slam of Slots II. The tournament, which lasted for 11 days, ended this week, distributing a massive prize pool of $456 700 among players.

The winner of the second edition of the tournament was a Spin Palace player, A.P, who earned himself a hefty sum of $157,515.83, whereas the runner-up Lucko took down $78,780.75 and the third place player $39,367.54.

This was also the first time that the popular Thunderstruck II slot was used in a slot tournament, and it was played in the Grand Slam of Slots II final, which unfortunately didn’t see any of the players complete the full pay table, so no one was able to claim the bonus prize of $2.43 million.

According to Microgaming Head of Casino Operations Mike Hebden, “After the success of the first Grand Slam of Slots in 2009, this tournament had a lot to live up to and it certainly did not disappoint. Thunderstruck II proved to be a very popular choice with players [and] it was a fun and exciting tournament.”

"The bonus prize of $2.43 million remained unclaimed and we’ll come up with an even better prize for Grand Slam of Slots III.”
