Sunvisson to replace Lind
An announcement came this week from Swedish online gambling company Cherryforetagen AB, stating that the company has appointed a new president and CEO, Emil Sunvisson, who will replace Gunnar Lind. It has been specified that Sunvisson’s starting date will be August 1, until which time Lind will remain in the company.
Sunvisson will take over major duties within the company which operates the PlayCherry.com online gaming site, as well as NorgesAutomaten.com, SverigeAutomaten.com and DanmarksAutomaten.com.
Prior to this, he has worked as chairman for Betsafe and as a board member for Swedish online gambling group Betsson AB. A part of his extensive experience comes from i.a. Glocalnet/Telenor, France Telecom, Siemens and Cap Gemini, and he also occupied a partner role at ScandCap where he was responsible for several major business transactions.
In a comment on the new position, the 39-year-old Sunvisson said: “The gaming sector offers a highly inconstant environment with great challenges combined with high growth potential. I have had the privilege to closely follow Cherryforetagen’s impressive development from, in the past, a company within traditional gaming to a modern corporation that competes over customers in the rapidly growing online gaming industry.
“I look forward to contributing to Cherryforetagen’s continued development as a leading provider of games for onshore, offshore and online.”
