Back US Legalization of Online Gambling Gets More Support

Democrat senator Rockefeller steps up in favor of the legalization

Apparently, the legalization of online gambling in the US has attracted another supporter - the Democrat senator for West Virginia, Jay Rockefeller, who wrote about it on his website, suggesting that in the midst of the US deficit crisis, there are 18 ways in which the problem could be addressed. Of course, one of them is to regulate and tax online gambling.

He stated: “Crack down on illegal Internet gambling. Establishing online gambling regulations will protect consumers, state’s rights and state sovereignty, and eliminate a huge illegal market that today benefits only countries and companies overseas, saving an estimated $41.8 billion over ten years, and an estimated additional $30 billion for states.”
