In an effort to forge ahead and appeal to the public for online gambling, Washington DC was faced with yet another delay.
After the recent law was passed to legalize online gambling, it came to a halt when political debates suggested the public was not taken in account to consider the passed bill.
DC Lottery chief Buddy Roogow set up city ward presentations but had to delay them after some residents didn’t want them held during the summer months. The public meetings have been reset to take place mid September through October instead of the original date in mid August.
Washington DC would be the first to legalize online gambling in the United States.
