Play’n’Go applies for Category 2 license
This week’s news include reports of a new application for Alderney license, filed by a Swedish mobile gaming developer Play'n Go.
The license requested by the company is a Category 2 eGambling Licence which "allows a licensee to effect gambling transactions including operating software and hardware upon which the transaction is conducted, housing and recording the gambling transaction outcomes and other activity deemed as effecting a gambling transaction as well as operate more than one form of gambling, operate multiple gambling platforms, operate gambling on behalf of a Category 1 licensee or other gambling operators".
As the Alderney Gambling Ordinance proscribes that a category 2 license may only be held by an Alderney company, it was stated in the Gazette terms that “Play n Go Alderney Limited, is an Alderney company to be incorporated.”
