Back Comtrade and Bally Tech in an IT Deal

Land-based slot provider's online presence to be boosted

A deal has been closed this week between IT solutions and software engineering service provider ComTrade and Bally Technologies (Bally) with an aim to develop technology that would help Bally’s online division Bally Interactive to improve its performance in the online gaming sector.

Thanks to the deal, ComTrade’s online development services will be used to speed up the conversion of Bally's land-based slot portfolio to the online gaming environment.

“Bally Technologies is a well respected industry player with a history in landbased gaming that dates back to 1932. This just goes to show that the gap is closing between the online and land based industries,” said Aleš Gornjec, director of gaming at ComTrade. “We believe that ComTrade’s experience and development strengths will accelerate Bally’s growth in the iGaming space, and we look forward to developing this relationship further.”

On the other hand, John Connelly, vice president of Business Development for Bally Technologies said: “Bally is highly selective in our technology partners and Comtrade became the clear choice among the options we explored. Their world-class experience in IT systems, their previous work with numerous top tier online providers, along with their deep pool of over 1000 engineering resources make them an ideal partner to work with for Bally Technologies. We look forward a long term relationship with them”.
