Rumors are not true, claims British government department
Regarding the rumors that appeared in the media this week, stating that ministerial responsibility for the UK Gambling Commission will be switched to another ministry following this year's Olympic Games, the British Department for Culture, Media and Sport said the rumors are not true.
What was stated in the allegations was that the relations between the Commission and the DCMS have been strained on a number of occasions and that the Commission will therefore be placed under the control of some other government ministry.
Some speculated it could be the Home Office, where its predecessor resided, or perhaps the Treasury, but all the assumptions seem to be in vain, having in mind the denial of such a move by the DCMS.
