Gambling in Internet Cafes Targeted by Michigan Authorities

Attorney General issues cease and desist warning

A report arrived this week from the US state of Michigan that its Attorney General, Bill Schuette, has signed cease and desist orders on three Internet cafes in state capital Lansing.

It appears that an investigation has proven that they are providing internet gambling under the cover of sweepstakes.

Reportedly, Schuette said that his staff has “warned internet cafe operators they risk legal action unless they stop violating Michigan’s gambling laws within two weeks.”
