With the recent acquisition of the online gaming content provider Jadestone Group AB, WMS Industries has plants to improve their B2B game server as well as their interactive content distribution.
The acquisition is referred to as a "tuck-in" which will allow the Jadestone capabilities to improve WMS' portfolio including gaming content, online products and content distribution for internet gaming companies as well as focus on future plans to create a new collection of interactive products and services.
Jadestone’s client list includes a number of European gaming companies such as Betfair, Betsson, bwin.party, Microgame, Paf and Unibet.
WMS president, Orrin J. Edidin, said, “With a proven management team and a decade of experience in development and platform integration for online gaming industry leaders, Jadestone brings a complementary mix of expertise and technology solutions to WMS."
Robert Henrysson, chief executive officer of Jadestone, commented, “We are excited to join WMS and take full advantage of the many new opportunities available to develop leading end-to-end interactive solutions. Combining our entrepreneurial creativity with WMS’ culture of innovation sets an exciting next stage in our business development."
The acquisition will also focus on the development of website, mobile and social platforms, Edidin adds, "Global gaming markets are rapidly moving toward content convergence and multi-channel distribution as consumers demand ready access to their favorite engaging entertainment content across multiple platforms."
WMS has developed a variety of land based casino slots and is the parent company of the Jackpot Party online casino.
