Latest series will air without the giant roulette wheel
The Simon Cowell televised game Red or Black? showed in the UK will be back soon though with some important changes following its run-in with the Gambling Commission earlier this year.
First series were aired as the nightly live shows, but in the new season there will be pre-recorded episodes each week. As said, the move will allow producers to fully investigate the winners, after controversy over the criminal records of some past contestants.
After the Gambling Commission's ruling that the giant roulette wheel glamorises gambling, it will be replaced with a new game, dubbed 'The Vortex', which sees contestants predicting how long a ball will drop down a 'mini velodrome'.
As an insider source told: "It will still be as tense as the roulette wheel. It could even be more exciting as the ball will hang around for longer."
Football striker Robin Van Persie and England cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Mark Ramprakash will be among the sports stars that will appear in the new series
Winners of thus revised game will receive GBP 500,000 each show, with a possible roll-over reaching GBP 3.5 million.
